Shadow Of A Doubt

This was my last art project in high school. I was very busy with trying to graduate, so I was exhausted and stood up very late trying to finish it. (My last days of high school shall forever be tainted with the memory of me frantically trying to finish assignments for class, yippee). The comic is based off of Alfred Hitchcock's movie "Shadow Of A Doubt". Uncle Charlie and his niece Charlie have a close relationship, but then Charlie finds out that Uncle Charlie is actually a serial killer who strangles old widows for their money. In this scene Charlie confronts Uncle Charlie and he attempts to justify his actions. A theme in the movie is a waltz, and the ring is a ring that Uncle Charlie gives to Charlie as a gift, which she finds out used to belong to one of the women he murdered.

Just a silly comic I did for fun, which is why the line art is so sloppy. Inspired by the college process (which thankfully I am done with).

47 Reasons

I'm kind of embarrassed by this comic now, but I still like it. I applied Early Decision to a college but was deferred to Regular Decision, so to show my enthusiasm for the school I created this. And then......I was rejected ahahaha. My GPA/test scores/class rank just didn't cut it. But still, I ended up at an excellent school (it's ranked higher than this one!) so in your face, college process!!

I took the SAT a million times, and I got so sick of it. I must have taken it 8 times (that's including the practice SATs). The SAT = evil.

If Stalin Were To Apply To College

Haha, if anybody has studied Soviet history during the 1930s or so, then they'd (maybe) understand this. This comic was inspired by a conversation in history class; since the seniors all have had college on their mind, the result was that the conversation was a mixture of college and...Stalin. So this is the result!

Brown University: Walk To Class

I took a class in "Visual Journalism" over the summer of 2007 at Brown, and one of our tasks was to depict our walk to class while using some kind of common thread or theme. I chose to draw a comic while incorporating the theme of red brick. I was really rushing by the end, so it's kind of messy...drew it in two days! Woohoo!
